The painting has been relined (sometime in the last 30 years) but has retained the original stretcher.

Portrait of a young girl, bust-length, looking over her shoulder( late 18thC)
Oil on canvas, with a collector's seal mark to the back of the stretcher.
Size 40 x 32cm
This portrait is very similar to a known portrait by Greuze. We have not been able to identify the collectors mark on the reverse.
